Particularly popular are the Bergische Panoramasteig and the Bergische Weg, which wind through historic villages, along streams, and through deep-green forests.

 

For cyclists, the Oberbergische Kreis also offers an extensive network of bike routes suitable for both leisurely rides and athletic challenges.

Hiking

The Bergisches Land offers over 4,000 kilometers of marked hiking routes. Various themed hiking trails, as well as the three quality hiking trails Bergischer Weg, Bergischer Panoramasteig, and Bergische Streifzüge.

Three beautiful circular hiking trails of varying lengths start directly at our hotel:
(red) 2.7 km (observation tower, spa park)
(blue) 4.7 km (observation tower, Ölsbach Valley)
(yellow) 6.2 km (observation tower, Homburg Castle)

The Bergische Hiking Weeks also take place here in the Bergisches Land once or twice a year.

Cycling

Whether e-biker, road cyclist, or mountain biker, the Bergisches region offers numerous opportunities for bicycle tours. Naturally, many family-friendly routes are also available.

Nümbrecht offers themed cycling routes of varying lengths: the Bergische Bröl-Radroute (49 km), the family route (13 km), and the highland route (28 km).

Somewhat more challenging is the half-timbered route, with 8 elevation changes over a distance of 40 km.
